16th Jecheon International Music & Film Festival

“WORLD MUSIC FILM TODAY-INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION” showcases a wide range of latest music films. The 5 jury members will select one winner for the Grand Prize worth 20 million KRW.

 

This section features 7 works. In ON-GAKU: Our Sound, three Japanese high school students form a rock band despite having no musical backgrounds, and play at a rock festival. Bring Down The Walls looks at the US prison industrial complex through the lens of house music and nightlife. We Intend to Cause Havoc traces the history of Zambia's rock music through WITCH, the biggest Zambian rock band during the 1970s.

 

Speak so I Can See You is about the oldest radio station in Europe. Once were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and the Band tells the story of the popular country rock band “The Band.” On the Record deals with the #MeToo movement in the American pop music industry. In We Still Have the Deep Black Night, a female trumpeter gets tired of her rock bank and leaves Brazil.
