Program Note
Exhuma's music is composed by Kim Taeseong, as with director Jang Jae-hyun's previous works The Priests and Svaha: The Sixth Finger. He has created scores for over 70 films across various genres such as television series and games, including Roaring Currents(2014) and Extreme Job(2019). Among his many projects, his collaborations with director Jang Jae-hyun stand out for their remarkable results. In Exhuma, he employs a restrained use of music, using dissonance and traditional instruments to amplify the film's emotional tone. His subtle scoring evokes the work of Bernard Herrmann, the legendary composer who partnered with Alfred Hitchcock. (Chun Jin-su)
