Synopsis

Oasis's breakthrough years documented into a detailed depiction of the band from the formation in Manchester in the early 1990s leading up to the legendary performance at Knebworth Festival.

Program Note

This documentary chronicles Oasis, the British rock band that ruled the 1990s—and whose notorious antics, led by the Gallagher brothers, were unmatched. Though it offers no groundbreaking angle, it captivates as it charts the band's rise, the global impact of (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, and the explosive feud between Noel and Liam that ultimately tore them apart—all told at a fittingly 'supersonic' pace. Most striking is an interview with their mother, Peggy, reminding us that despite their flaws, the brothers had a unique talent and passion no one could match. (Huh Namwoong)
