"Who said love is beautiful?" The forms of love are diverse and easily transformed, requiring careful handling. Love Cycle depicts the rise and fall of a couple's affection in a cyclical format. Whether their enigmatic, endlessly repeating romance becomes hell or heaven is difficult to answer. The film's tone shifts playfully between humor and seriousness, with subtle details reflecting the characters' psychology. Its direction cleverly portrays the challenges of communication between men and women through a ping-pong of different languages. The natural and lively performances of actors Kim Yeongyo and Oh Dongmin are especially noteworthy. (Ho Jun Lee)
