Program Note
This documentary, part of EBS's series 100 Classic Korean Pop Albums of the 2000s, explores Comedy, the third album by Jeju based musicians Yeoyu and Seolbin. Following the tracks, it calmly looks into the origins of the songs and the duo's simple life. Their everyday moments with a cat, relaxed lyrics, and gentle voices quietly seep in like nature, soothing the heart. Scenes of singing in the forest convey a small yet strong vitality, leaving a serene healing resonance. Like farmers cultivating life and poets singing, their music gently expresses the depth of existence that, shaken by tragedy, survives as comedy. (Lim Sae-eun)
