Program Note
Music flows beside the characters like their breath, like the air itself—reading their feelings, gently illuminating, and connecting their emotions. The music is never intrusive, no matter how often it is heard. The image of Jungwon sitting by the window of a moving bus, calmly conveying the fleeting nature of love that will one day become a memory, accompanied by Sanullim's Through the Window, Faint Old Memories Will Come to Mind, lingers long in the mind. How can one forget the ending title song Christmas in August, sung in Han Sukkyu's clear, heartfelt voice? The lyrics, "I want to dream an unbroken dream forever," softly whisper a desperate yearning for love. (Jeong Jihye)
