Synopsis
Chum-Chum, a homeless and imaginative nine-year-old boy, believes the Tigris hides a gateway to the underworld of Irkala, where he can resurrect his parents—an idea sparked by the legend of Gilgamesh. As his friend is dragged into a dark militia plot, Chum-Chum must choose between myth and salvation.

Baghdad-born award-winning filmmaker known for his socially engaged cinema. He co-founded the independent production company Human Film and founded the Iraqi Independent Film Center, an initiative supporting independent and emerging Iraqi filmmakers and encouraging creativity within the country’s film industry.
