Founded in 2006 alongside the 2nd edition of the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival, Jecheon International Music & Film Academy celebrates its 17th year and welcomes new students for the year 2022. Composed of a practical training camp with the best domestic and international film music specialists, JIMFA’s education program gives meticulous guidance to those who dream of being a film composer, and provides a special opportunity to create a new vision for film music.

 
 
02. What’s Special about JIMFA

Jecheon International Music & Film Academy’s unique educational program comprehensively covers the process of film music production, and takes a step further from the one-off masterclass common at other film festivals. Students get the chance to receive professional training from the finest domestic and international film composers and produce their own film music.

 
 
03. JIMFA Student Benefits

Jecheon International Music & Film Academy offers lectures, team practices, and mentoring program in which students can get evaluations and receive advice from film composers currently working in the industry. Students will be provided with accommodations and badges for the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival, which allows admission to every screening and event, including the opening and closing ceremonies and various concerts.

아시아의 젊은 인재를 발굴하고 아시아영화의 네트워크 구축을 위해 만들어진 아시아영화아카데미(AFA)는 부산영상위원회와 부산국제영화제가 공동으로 주최하는 교육 프로그램입니다. 제천영화음악아카데미 기간 동안 우수한 학생을 선발하여 AFA 참가기회를 제공합니다.

Curriculum
  • (1) Practical training covering the overall process of film music production
  • (2) Film music production practice
  • (3) Special lectures from the best domestic and international film composers
  • (4) Individual and group mentoring from film composers currently working in the industry
  • (5) Attend film screenings and participate in festival events such as the opening ceremony, concerts, and reception party.
