The Best Opportunity for Aspiring Film Composers, Jecheon International Music & Film Academy (JIMFA)
Hosted by the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival since 2006, the Jecheon International Music & Film Academy (JIMFA) has provided a special opportunity to attend lectures by top domestic film directors and film composers, and to experience film music production. It offers high-level lectures and mentoring for students dreaming of becoming film composers, and guides the next generation of film composers through specific and practical career counseling from active film directors and film composers.
From 2006 to 2025, JIMFA has produced a total of 736 academy graduates. In particular, many of these graduates are currently participating in film music production in the field through their connection with the academy. The 21st JIMFA is scheduled to run for 6 days and 5 nights, from Friday, September 4 to Wednesday, September 9, 2026. Participants will be provided with accommodation and a badge that grants access to festival events, including the closing ceremony of the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival.

The Unique Distinction of JIMFA
Going beyond the conventional film festival masterclasses that primarily consist of one-off lectures, this is a special educational program where participants experience the overall process of film music production. Participants receive professional training from top domestic film directors and film composers, and engage in practical exercises to produce film music themselves.
