Synopsis

Dong-hyun, a radio PD who lives in the shadow of an old love that has already ended, and Soo-hyun, a cable TV shopping guide who has a crush on her friend's lover, communicate via computer. With the commonality of being lonely, they decide to sort out their heartbreaking love with the help of each other's sincere advice..... <Connection> received high marks from film music officials for its outstanding selection of songs for the movie and for breaking with the Korean film industry's practice of paying royalties for the music it used. The theme song, “A Lover's Concerto,” became a big hit, and the music director, Choi Man-sik, won the music award at the 18th Korean Film Critics Association Awards.

1989년 한양대 전기공학과 졸업. 1992년 헝가리 국립영화학교 수료하였고, 1987년 단편영화 <인재를 위하여>, 1988년 독립영화 <오 꿈의 나라>, <파업전야>를 공동연출했다. 1997년 영화 <접속>을 연출, 서울관객 80만 동원이라는 성공을 이끌며, 1998년 대종상 신인감독상을 수상했다. 1998년 (주)쿠앤씨필름을 설립, 공동대표를 역임해 1999년 <텔 미 썸딩>, 2004년 <썸>을 연출했다.
