Iwai Shunji, who rose to fame with his feature debut Love Letter, which showcased a unique narrative structure and beautiful visuals set in the cities of Otaru and Kobe, is celebrated as a leading figure in Japanese youth cinema. His films have consistently garnered attention and affection from Korean audiences. Known for his captivating soundtracks, Shunji’s films enchant both the eyes and ears of viewers. In addition to his work as a film director, Shunji is also a novelist, showcasing his diverse talents. This year, he will attend the Jecheon International Music Film Festival as a judge for the international feature competition. The festival will screen three of Shunji's films and, following the screening of his latest work Kyrie, will host a special talk session with the director.
