Synopsis

A lip sync musical featuring the voices of various actors including Audrey Tautou of < Amelie>. Like a Shakespearean comedy, lovers are star-crossed and tense moments constantly arise in an exciting and hilarious manner. Resnais, who has been creating works that are lighter and more cheerful since the 90s, combines a chamber play, a musical, and a film perfectly to prove his worth once again as a great director.

1922년 프랑스 반 출생. 파리 고등영화학원에서 수학하였다. 초기에는 주로 기록영화들을 연출하였던 그는 이후 극영화 데뷔작이었던 <히로시마, 내 사랑>(1959)을 비롯하여 수십 편의 작품을 발표하였다. 시간성에 대한 심오한 통찰을 담고 있는 그의 영화들은 진정한 현대영화의 출발로 평가되고 있다.
