Synopsis

Lily is a nineteen-year-old art student who falls in love with a man at first sight and runs off with him on a dangerous escape that leads them through Spain, Morocco, and Greece. Benoit Jacquot, who produced <The School of Flesh>, takes the adventure based on the real story of a girl and tells it with a certain sophisticated air through a rough monotonous screen set in the exotic atmosphere of southern Europe.

Director

Benoît Jacquot

Born in Paris in 1947. He entered the film industry at age 18 as an assistant director for Marguerite Duras and Jacques Rivette. Since his feature debut The Musician Killer in 1975, he has worked in both film and television, creating works such as A Single Girl (1996), Keep It Quiet (1999), and Adolphe (2002). He served as a jury member at the Cannes Film Festival in 2005.
