Synopsis
Misha grows up like a weed in the slums, but when he meets John, the patron of the experimental band Cross, he is recognized for his musical talent and is overwhelmed with happiness. But when John is murdered and Misha is forced to kill the perpetrator, his life takes another tragic turn. After being released from prison, Misha becomes the lead singer of the band Phantom and receives a rapturous reception, but fate has another plan for him. Misha's Blues follows the familiar arc of a music band drama — the rise of a star against all odds, backstage rivalries in the music industry, love, and jealousy. However, the film distinguishes itself with its refined mise-en-scène, distinctive Russian atmosphere, and catchy music that make up for its clichés.
