Synopsis

The director Haavind watches some elderly canoeists paddling out into the fjord every morning. One of them always takes a tape recorder to play music while he is training at the club. There is something special about the man, the music and the club house, and Haavind begins to take black and white photographs. Gradually the film evolves into one about the life of jazz musician Gerhard Aspheim, and about our perceptions of life’s shifts and coincidences.

  • Uwe Haavind
  • Born in 1965, he studied film in both the United States and Norway. In 1994, he co-founded Kraftwerk Productions, and in 2003, he established Trøbbel AS and COD Productions. He currently works as a director and co-owner at COD Productions. He mainly handles both domestic and international advertising projects.
