Synopsis
A band with no name starts to play on the street. When asked for their name, they reply, “We just love to band,” and that becomes their name. They begin a journey to local festivals—completely uninvited. As the four members travel, they start to realize how different they are from each other, and their story unfolds through the people they meet on the street. What began as something they “love to do” gradually turns into something that “feels like work.” This documentary follows their whimsical journey from the very bottom. When what you love becomes what you must do for a living, it can become unbearable. Doing what you love doesn’t always mean happiness. Sometimes, the effort itself creates that love—but one day, it might suddenly turn into something you hate. This film poses an uncomfortable question to “We just love to band”: Is ‘doing what I love’ a genuine passion—or just obsession, or self-hypnosis?
