  • In 1969, he earned a degree in psychology from Ruhr University Bochum and later lectured at the same institution. Since 2001, he has co-founded the production company irrlicht-film with Markus Lenz, directing works such as Ghosts of the Night – Lynxes of Europe (2003), Snakes Everywhere – The Hunt for Species (2005), and A Visit to the Poaching Zone (2007).
