Synopsis

Busking - an enrichment for public space, a concept of life beyond the norm. Daily bread earned in a tough world. You will meet Petr Spatina, who has performed his musical glasses virtuoso busking since 1989, Ninoschka Schlothauer, a young actress who started her first busking experience in 2008, and others. They invite you to witness their ups and downs while touring European cities. “In the one hour I played, I actually earned pretty well,” says a busker. But what will tomorrow bring? Uncertainty is part of the buskers’ freedom. *Urban Nomads* is the story of a summer on the streets: free, uncertain, surprising, cheeky, brave, disillusioning, honest, and touching.

  • Born in 1979 in Vienna, Austria. He studied audiovisual media and video. In 2004, he founded the film company BrotherVillageFilms with Paulus Jakob. In 2009, he directed a short documentary titled *Mundtberg*, about a theater group formed by youth in difficult circumstances.
