Synopsis

Chinese American musician Wei Wende is immersing himself in music composition. His mentor was impressed by a theme song from the movie *Third Sister Liu* and encourages Wei to find inspiration for composing from his homeland. Wei’s grandpa, who has always been worried about his marriage, secretly arranges for his friend Uncle Mo to find a girl for him. Since Wei was about to visit Guangxi, Uncle Mo arranges a qualified tour guide named A Mei. Unfortunately, A Mei had personal affairs to deal with, so she asked her best friend Liu Tiantian to step in for her. While exploring diverse ethnic musical traditions, their relationship is complicated by romantic misunderstandings. As the music starts, the loving couple can finally be together.

  • Zhu Feng graduated with a master's degree in film directing from the Beijing Film Academy. He currently works as a director at Shanghai Film Studio. His digital film *I Love Jessica* (2005) won the Best Digital Film Award at the 10th Huabiao Awards and the Best Director Award at the CCTV-6 Baihe Awards. Another of his works, *Early Summer* (2006), was invited to the Moscow International Youth Film Festival.
