Synopsis
Chil-su is a talented artist. While waiting for an invitation from his sister in America, Chil-su quits his job painting theater signs and becomes Mansu’s assistant. Mansu suffers under the dark shadow of his father, while Chil-su gets dumped by Ji-na, a college student, and loses all contact with his sister. One night, after they finish a large billboard, the two rave around the tower, goofing off. The police misunderstand and think that they are trying to kill themselves.

- Born on January 22, 1955, in Sokcho, Gangwon Province. He graduated from the Department of Sculpture at Seoul National University's College of Fine Arts. After working as an assistant director to Lee Jang-ho, he made his directorial debut in 1988 with "Chil-su and Mansu." Through films such as "Like Them" (1990), "Berlin Report" (1991), and "I Want to Go to That Island" (1993), he conveyed his social awareness in cinematic language. Later, he made the digital omnibus film "Six Angles" (2003) and "On a Bright Day" (2006).
