Synopsis

A movie about leadership, social heredity, fantastic voices and a firm will. On the moors of Jutland, conductor Mads Bille has established one of Denmark’s best international choirs with boys from all walks of life. Normally a project like this would include a very big city, but a single fiery soul is all it takes. Whether the boys have a psychogenic disease, are trouble-makers or come from families with no ear for music, the most important thing is that they have a gift for singing. Anne Moulvad has been working with this movie since 2006. It has resulted in a successful and interesting movie, which also is a great musical experience.

  • Born in 1965. She worked as a journalist at a TV broadcasting station for 20 years starting in 1993. She has planned numerous programs and conducted over 200 interviews with people from all walks of life. "The Voice of Life" is her first documentary. The film was shown in over 50 cinemas across Denmark in 2009 and became the third highest-grossing documentary in Denmark in the past two years.
