Synopsis

The director’s father, acclaimed Dutch cellist Anner Bylsma, has a great passion for the forgotten composer Luigi Boccherini. His dream for many years has been to travel to the abandoned Palacio del Infante don Luis de Borbon where Boccherini lived and wrote what was to be his most important compositions. The film joins Bylsma as he makes his journey to the palace. There, a quintet of the new generation will play Boccherini’s music and Bylsma will try to pass on the secret so the essence of Boccherini’s music won’t be lost even after a long time.

  • Born in Amsterdam in 1983. She graduated from the Dutch Academy of Motion Pictures and Television in 2008. He won awards at several film festivals for his graduation work, "Anner Bilsma - The Secret of Boquerini". He is currently working as a director and photographer.​
