Synopsis
Hugh Masekela, a jazz musician and activist in South Africa, had to be away from his country due to apartheid for over 30 years. In 1968, he achieved major success by winning a Billboard No. 1 with ‘Grazin’ in the Grass’. He deserts his son and leaves America to spread awareness of his music and the circumstances of South Africa. This is a true documentary about music and family, telling the story of a father exiled from his country and the son he abandoned.
