Synopsis

Oliver is a talented young Polish American pianist. After breaking off his European tour, he owes 250 thousand Euros to the tour organizers. On his journey, he meets the very colorful character of Frank, a retired high school math teacher and great enthusiast of horse racing. He dreams of returning home successfully, but never without winning a momentous prize. From then on, the two friends endeavor to gain success. They discover true friendship. Together, they fulfill Frank’s dream of winning at the horse races, which in turn allows Oliver to buy back his personal freedom.

In search of an escape from his seemingly hopeless reality, Oliver boards a train and meets Frank, a retired math teacher and horse racing addict. Frank dreams of returning triumphantly to the U.S., but to do so, he must win money at a major horse race in Germany. The two find themselves in dire straits and aim for a life-changing victory, discovering true friendship along the way.
