Synopsis

Oliver is a talented young Polish American pianist. After breaking off his European tournee, he owes 250 thousand Euros to the tour organizers. On his journey, he meets the very colorful character of ? a retired high school math teacher and great enthusiast of the horse races. He dreams of returning home successfully, but never without winning a momentous prize. From then on, the two friends endeavor to gain success. They discover true friendship. Together, they fulfill Frank’s dream of winning at the horse races, which in turn allows Oliver to buy back his personal freedom.

  • 미국에서 활동하는 폴란드 출신의 재능 있는 피아니스트 올리버는 갑자기 찾아온 무대공포증으로 인해 예정된 유럽 투어를 하지 못하게 된다. 그리고 계약 파기로 이해 25만 유로를 물어내야 할 상황에 놓인다. 올리버는 해결할 방법이 보이지 않는 현실로부터 벗어나고자 무작정 기차에 오르고, 도피여행 중에 은퇴한 수학 교사이자 경마 중독자인 프랭크를 만난다. 프랭크는 미국으로 금의환향할 것을 희망하지만, 그러기 위해서는 독일에서 열리는 큰 규모의 경마대회에서 반드시 돈을 따야 한다. 이렇게 궁지에 몰린 두 사람은 성공을 향해 인생역전을 노리고 그 과정에서 진정한 우정을 깨닫게 된다.​
