Synopsis

"My boyfriend is bald. And I want to sing a song about it." The city comes alive, the neighborhood comments, the workers dance. Like a punk Scandinavian gay version of The Sound of Music. Putting Maria Boch's short film into words is an insult: its vibrant color, the homage to classical musicals, the irreverent humor, and the wild choreography’s plasticity are lost. The 2011 craze: the human bongo drum that goes "Skalla Skalla Skalla Skalla!"

  • Born in 1978, she graduated from Vardar Music School in 2000. In 2004, she worked at the National Academy of Arts in Oslo as an actress, musical artist, and playwright, beginning her career as a director. In 2008, she was nominated for Best Actress at the Amanda International Film Awards for her role in Summers Past.
