Synopsis

A bittersweet black comedy about one man's obsessive attempt to acquire a rare and valuable stamp known as ‘The Blue Sophia.’ It is the one missing stamp from his recently deceased wife's collection, and he hopes that obtaining it will help him cope with his grief. When he enlists the help of his brass band members, the story takes an unexpected turn.

  • Philip Klinger grew up in a small town near the Black Forest in Germany, where he found an early creative escape in theater, writing, music, and film. After completing an apprenticeship as a media designer at a film production company, he worked primarily in commercials and as a first assistant director on feature films. His first short film earned him a place at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy, where he studied directing.
