Synopsis

Sam Holzmann inherits a family-owned violin shop after his father's death. The traditional luthier's workshop is facing inevitable bankruptcy with no orchestra in town and all the father's customers gone. Sam's mother, Barbara, decides to save the shop by introducing electric violins to the market, which stands in conflict with Sam's aesthetic principles. He fights to accept change and find his place in the modern world.

  • Karolina Mikolajczak studied directing at the Warsaw Film School, London Film School, and New York Film Academy. Her debut film <Father> was screened at the Poznań Polish-Jewish Film Forum. She has since produced over 20 short films across the United States, Israel, and other countries.
