Synopsis

The turbulent life story of the most famous folk singer that the Netherlands has ever known: Andre Hazes. An artist who loved the blues and who lived like the blues. As an 8-year-old rascal with an abusive and alcoholic father, he has been discovered singing in the streets of Amsterdam in the 60’s. We relive the highlights of his career in the 80’s and go down with him in the aftermath of his career, when his famous voice and sound is seriously affected by his deteriorating hearing and his alcohol addiction.

  • 1963년 네덜란드 흐로닝언 출생. 1988년 KKBR에서 주니어 카피라이터로 처음 일을 시작했고, 1999년에는 광고 제작사 Neboko를 설립하였다. 2012년에는 첫 장편 영화 <마라톤>을 제작하여, 2013년 10월에 네덜란드의 오스카 상이라 할 수 있는 황금 송아지상 3관왕을 차지하였다. 이어 2014년에는 네덜란드 가수 안드레 헤이즈의 삶을 다룬 전기영화 <피와 땀과 눈물>을 연출했다.
