Synopsis
This film revisits the making of the 1964 Johnny Cash album [Bitter Tears: Ballads of the American Indian], a protest folk record advocating the Native American rights that was met with a severe backlash and placed him in the middle of fervent social upheavals gripping the USA at the time. The film includes performances and interviews from musicians Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch, Rosanne Cash, and comes at a time when America is once again gripped by racial tension.
