Synopsis

​Four Chinese gangster rappers want to imitate their hero Cypress Hill while trying to break it in censored Chinese music market, not knowing the harsh reality awaiting to betray their dreams. It shows the same dilemma that young people share regardless of where they come from. When is the time to realize that maybe your dream will not come true after all?

  • Wei Guangzhong is active in the Chinese-language music industry as a talent scout, producer, and lyricist. He began filmmaking after meeting the band West Hill, and since 2008, he has planned several documentaries. His directorial debut, Faraway Hip Hop, was nominated for Best Documentary at the 2015 Taipei Film Awards.
