Synopsis

​A rapper has-been, Park Sa-jang, who is a member of a hip-hop duo Holladang, is expelled from his team by the head of his agency. Returning to his hometown, Jeju Island, he encounters Mi-rae, a female diver of Jeju, or Haenyeo. Inspired by the young woman diver who raps in Jeju dialect, he makes a successful comeback and tries to return to Seoul. However, Mi-rae keeps on preparing for a collaborative concert with him…

  • Born in Seoul in 1978, Lee Sang-mok graduated from Hanyang University with a degree in Cultural Anthropology in 2006. He worked as a film and publishing translator from 2008 to 2010 before moving to Jeju Island in 2010. After working as a freelance radio producer, he became the head of Maccaera Studio, which he established in 2016.
