Synopsis

A love story between a tap dancer, a piano player and a 1922 hand-cranked motion picture camera. The old camera is both camera, character and stage. Seduced by the rhythms of the camera mechanics, the tap dancer jumps into the magical world of analogue black-and-white film where her dreams seem infinitely possible. In the end, she finds out there is something that matters even more.

  • Pieter-Lim de Kroon graduated from the Netherlands Film and Television Academy in Amsterdam and has worked as a director and cinematographer since 1981. He has produced various films for the Dutch Ministry of Public Health and made documentaries about individual collaborations in East Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean.
