The complexity and artistic richness of free improvisation reveals itself across a wide range of popular genres. The overlap of these musical styles may suggest an underlying, universal language shared by all.

  • Vicente Oliveira is a director, editor, and researcher who has worked in Brazil’s audiovisual industry for over eight years. His documentary Life Is Like Improvisation was screened at the In-Edit Brazil Music Documentary Film Festival in 2017.
