Synopsis

Michel Legrand composed some of the most iconic scores in cinema history: The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, The Thomas Crown Affair, Yentl, to name just a few. A legendary figure who won 3 Oscars and 5 Grammys, he collaborated with renowned French and American filmmakers as well as celebrated jazz musicians and singers. This documentary traces the surreal journey of a multi-faceted and elusive artist whose life and career defy easy categorization.

  • Grégory Monro studied at ESRA Film School in Paris and later trained under Jack Waltzer at the Actors Studio in both Paris and New York. His short films, such as Rose or the Mute Liar (2013), Behind (2005), and The Choice or the Loss (2000), have been screened at various film festivals.
