Synopsis

It took 30 years for the cinema to find its way to language: but are we certain that cinema’s fate was to be spoken? What if cinema was actually eager for… music? Adding music and dance, cinema created a new genre: musical films. More than a simple genre, musical film is a spirit, a magic cinematographic fluid that can leach into everything, into our memory above all.   • ​1960년에 태어난 프랑스의 감독이자 제작자 에릭 비툰은 파리에 있는 영화학교 ESEC을 졸업하고 1987년 자신의 제작사인 SKOPIA FILMS를 창립했다. 그는 1983년부터 2001년까지 50편의 단편을 만들었고, 2003년부터는 프랑스 방송을 위해 100편이 넘는 다큐멘터리를 제작했다. 그의 작품들은 해외에도 배급되었고 여러 영화제에서 상영되기도 했다.
