Synopsis

The film documents the resilience of a burgeoning music scene undeterred and fuelled by political restrictions, building bridges through a shared sound and identity. For the past ten years, Palestinian music collective Jazar Crew has been fostering a vibrant party scene in Haifa, as an alternative to the mainstream club scene in Israel.

  • Jessica Kelly is a London-based documentary director with a special connection to the Middle East. After majoring in Arab and Islamic theory in university, she moved to Cairo and worked on a series of events surrounding the Egyptian revolution in 2011. After returning to London, she directed documentary series for ‘Byisland’, ‘Channel 4’, and ‘BBC’.
