Synopsis

In the middle of the Korean War, the dream stage finally unfolds. Rebellious Ki-soo from North Korea is mesmerized by tap dance in prison camps. Ki-soo joins as a team member of a dance team named “Swing Kids.” Suddenly, their dreams about dancing in prison camps are put in danger.

His first feature film, "Speed Scandal" (2008), won the Best New Director Award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards, Best New Director Award from the Korean Film Critics Association, and the Asian Newcomer Award at the Shanghai International Film Festival. "Sunny," his second directorial work, was a huge box office hit in South Korea in the first half of 2011, attracting over 7 million viewers.
