Synopsis

Legendary voices of Reggae flow from the yard of the house full of old vinyl records, perched on the slopes above Kingston, Jamaica. The voices of Ken Boothe, Winston McAnuff, Kiddus I, and Cedric Myton, the famous lead of The Congos, to name but a few. They've sung with Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Jimmy Cliff in the back rooms of the ghettos. For the project of Inna de Yard, they reunited to revisit their biggest hits and record a unique acoustic album. For this occasion, they'll share the mic with new generation singers of reggae. 'Inna de Yard - The Soul of Jamaica' is a film by Peter Webber, renowned for (2007) and 'Girl with a Pearl Earring' (2003), which drew attention for its music documentary form. The film could be labeled as the best music documentary since (1999), as the stylish music of the legendary Reggae musicians and their moving stories unfold alongside the beautiful landscape of Jamaica.

  • 1968년 영국에서 태어난 피터 웨버는 영화학교를 다니면서 첫 작품 <제브라 맨>을 만들었고, 영화 편집자로 일했다.이후 다큐멘터리 감독으로 바그너부터 심해 생물 등 다양한 주제를 다룬 작품을 만들었으며, [멘 온리], [더 스트렛퍼드 와이브스] 등의 드라마를 만들었다. <진주 귀걸이를 한 소녀>, <한니발 라이징>, <맥아더: 일본 침몰에 대한 불편한 진실> 등 극영화를 연출한 이후 음악 다큐멘터리 <자메이카의 소울: 이나 데 야드>를 만들었다.​
