Synopsis

Friendship between Choi Gon, once a popular singer who was set to be the Singer King in 1988 but is now forgotten by the public, and Park Min-soo, his manager. The first film in director Lee Joon-ik’s music film trilogy. Choi Gon does nothing but reminisce about his glamorous past, and Min-soo finally persuades him to go to Young-wol, far from all the glory, to become a radio DJ. A touching story of their friendship. Music director Bang Jun-seok’s “Rain and You” and a special appearance by No Brain stand out.

  • Since directing the family film "Kid Cop" in 1993, Lee Joon-ik has operated the film company Cineworld. He produced and directed "The Battle of Hwangsanbeol" in 2003, a fusion historical drama that drew 2.9 million viewers nationwide, and in 2005, he achieved a record-breaking 12 million viewers with "The King and the Clown." In 2006, he directed "Radio Star," followed by "Happy Life" in 2007 and completed his renowned music film trilogy with "The Man Who Came from Far Away" in 2008.
