Synopsis

France, summer 1985. On the brink of death, 75-year-old Madeleine receives an unexpected visit from her son. While Madeleine refuses to give up the secret of his birth, Charles’ determination to know the truth brings back long-buried memories of the German occupation – some of which are revealed in song.
