Synopsis

Marking its 40th anniversary, “Meari”is a folk singing club at Seoul National University, which resisted against dictatorship in the 80s and has been producing and singing band music since the 90s. Its 40 years of history, which encompasses from graduates who have dedicated their lives to folk to students who sing about their youth in the band, represent the history of Korea's modern age and the progressive social movement, “music movement.”

  • 2004년부터 푸른영상에서 다큐멘터리 작업을 해오고 있다. <대추리전쟁>(2007), <대추리에 살다>(2009), <구름다리>(2014)를 연출했고, 세월호 참사와 유가족들의 투쟁을 다룬 <나쁜나라>(공동연출)는 2015년에 개봉했다. 세월호 참사 이후 안산의 공간과 유가족들의 목소리를 담은 <자국>(2016)을 통해 “416 프로젝트 - 망각과 기억”에 참여했다.
