Program Note

Stories from the past occasionally appear in music films, maybe because of the romantic nature music. LIMECRIME, which started from the actual experience, deals with two boys who gained freedom through the creation of music thanks to the combination of rap and the digital medium. The difference in their circumstances is sometimes an obstacle but the film doesn’t venture into the social criticism. The reason is that this is a memory of a time when an incomplete but beautiful dream was being dreamt. That time will never come back. The movie focuses on raw documentation rather than meticulous structure, which makes it similar to the music they love. And a mesmerizing rhythm is a given. (LEE Yongchul)
