Program Note

Musician Laurie Amat hears a conspiracy theory involving the German Nazi. They say the Nazis changed the frequency of the standard to the present 440 hertz in order to make the masses more aggressive and easier to manipulate. Laurie begins meeting with experts to confirm this fact. Through this, she learns what sound means, what it can do, how it affects emotions, and how it can sometimes be used like a weapon. A series of encounters that started out of curiosity gradually turns into a meaningful journey that examines the relationship between sound and life. (JO Jihoon)
