Synopsis

​A young musician, Danielle, and her best friend, Diego, embark on a journey together after a heartbreaking breakup. When they reach Mexico's northern border, they learn about the complex post-war situation between the United States and Mexico and try to survive using their discretion as musicians. A coming-of-age film about Daniel and Diego's heartbreak, friendship, traveling, new lovers, and the desire to find themselves.

Program Note

​Daniel, a guitar player, and Diego, a trumpet player, have been friends since childhood. After breaking up with their respective girlfriends, they embark on a road trip together to forget the pain of heartbreak. After reaching Tijuana, Mexico's northern border with the United States, they sing in nightclubs to support themselves. Daniel meets free-spirited Alex, while Diego spends his time hanging out with the neighborhood kids and taking pictures of the neighborhood. Reminiscent of Wim Wenders' road movies, the film is a gentle look at the protagonists' efforts to overcome their wounds. (Kwangwoo Noh)
