Synopsis

Pandora thinks there's nothing she can do with the box, while Pyrrha finds it beautiful and mesmerizing. As the clock ticks down to the end of time, Pyrrha is given the box, and she makes a choice.

Program Note

Pyrrha is the daughter of Pandora in Greek mythology. A storm is raging, and Pandora is struggling on a box. On a blackened stage, surrounded by a black curtain, Pandora is in agony, and the sound of heavy rain, like the howl of a beast, assaults her ears. On the black box, two women, Pandora and Pyrrha, begin to dance. The film, which consists of two women dancing in front of a single object, is the work of director Park Ji-hyun, who majored in creative writing and choreography at the Korea National University of Arts in Seoul. The rhythmic music and highly choreographed choreography, along with the set that maximizes the darkness, create a different sensation. (Songhee Kim)
