Program Note

A documentary about the lives of the Karen people, who have been forced to form refugee camps near the border after Myanmar's military offensive. Setting off from the border between Thailand and Myanmar in February 2017, the camera penetrates into the Karen community and examines the signs of ordinary life that continue to persist every day in the midst of a civil war that is in the midst of a ceasefire but could erupt again at any moment. Alongside the footage of Karen villages is a fictionalized journey of a man with a television head wandering around Busan, while the narrator's voice calmly warns us of the flat narrative of the news on our monitors.
