Synopsis

Taigi Asano is a member of the Funabashi Public High School Brass Band Club. Despite his compositional difficulties, he takes on the challenge of composing a new cheer for the Ichifuna baseball team and creates the legendary “Ichifuna Soul”. Then, one day after graduating from high school, Asano, in severe pain and vomiting, learns that he has cancer.

Synopsis

A member of the brass band club at Ichifuna High School, Taigi is a boy who loves music more than anything else. After composing “The Soul of Ichifuna” to cheer on the school's baseball team, Taigi vows to become a music teacher. After graduation, at the tender age of 20, Taigi is diagnosed with cancer in the hospital, but even as his condition worsens, he never stops playing and composing. “Soul of a Twenty-Year-Old” follows the daily lives of the members of the Ichifuna High School Orchestra, centered around Taigi. The team's genuine love for music and camaraderie drives the movie's energy, and in the end, a heartwarming ensemble brings comfort. (Cho Hyun-na)
