Synopsis

Maria, an apprentice nun with a love of music, is invited by Mother Superior to become a tutor to the prestigious von Trapp family, a naval family. As she teaches singing to the seven children of the Von Trapp family, she gradually warms up to the stern Colonel von Trapp, who is not always easy to get along with. One day, Maria realizes that she is in love with Colonel von Trapp and decides to leave the children and re-enter the convent.
