Elton Medeiros, a leading composer of Brazilian samba music, shares anecdotes about his childhood, growing up, and the musicians he collaborated with with a singer who will perform his music. Elton Medeiros and the singer have a conversation, and the singer performs the music he wrote. Director Pedro Murad intercuts key moments in Elton Medeiros' story with re-enactments and photographs that capture the feeling of the moment. While biographical documentaries about the life of a musician usually feature interviews with people around them, this film is unique in that it uses photographs instead of interviews. (Kwangwoo Noh)
